Join us on Monday, Sept. 11 for a free workshop reading of a new one-woman play by Rebecca Karpovsky, writer and star of the runaway hit film Pinsky. The show is about Sarah Bernhardt, the French-Jewish actress who took the world by storm. She was a reality star before TV even existed. In this poignant and hilarious piece, Sarah, notorious throughout the world, prepares to play Hamlet and confronts pushback for being a woman, a Jew, and too ambitious.
This reading of the script will be followed by a talk-back where Rebecca will ask the audience for reactions and thought.
