Rabbi Mark Wildes in interview with David Goldstein
Light Dinner, Wine| $5 Donation

Celebrate MLK Day with MJE and young Jewish professionals for a chance to hear the incredible behind the scenes true stories of African American professional basketball players in Israel.

In his recently published book, «Alley-Oop to Aliyah: African American Hoopsters in the Holy Land,» David Goldstein explores the intersections of race, religion, identity, sports and Israeli culture. As Sport Illustrated remarked, «Alley-Oop to Aliyah» isn’t just a basketball book; it’s also about immigration, religion, politics, and how players’ lives were changed by their experiences in Israel.»

A Q+A session will follow to allow for questions and comments from the audience.
