The willingness to openly share traumatic past experiences so that others may learn is a great act of selflessness.
Reminiscing on memories of childhood in his native land of Zloczow, Poland, George Bear witnessed a German invasion, the death of his father, and had to falsely identify as an Aryan for the sake of survival. Today, he passes along his stories for the sake of educating and remembering.
Bear joins the Museum for our monthly #StoriesSurvive Speakers Series on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 1pm.
Free with Museum admission.
