KashRoots, the multilingual coed vocal ensemble will give its second annual summer performance at the JCC, with a full concert of songs performed both a cappella and with acoustic accompaniment, and written by Jews in languages including Hebrew, Ladino, Russian, Yiddish, and English. With a sensitivity toward both preservation and modernization, the group will perform songs of the diaspora, focusing on the lyrics, rhythm, sentiment and historical meanings of the music. All are welcome. Program narration in English.
This project was initiated as part of the COJECO BluePrint Fellowship.
Generation R is supported by The Jewish Education Project, with generous funding from the Genesis Philanthropy Group.
