(55 mins., Hebrew with English subtitles) An estimated 400,000 numbers were tattooed in Auschwitz and its sub-camps. Numbered documents the dark time and setting during which these tattoos were assigned as well as the meaning they took on in the years following the war.

This screening will be followed by a discussion with Hasia Diner, Paul And Sylvia Steinberg Professor of American Jewish History, Professor of Hebrew, and Interim Director of Glucksman Ireland House at New York University.

This program is presented in commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27.
