On Sunday, May 19th, Repair the World NYC is hosting a day of service with East Harlem Tutorial Program, an education nonprofit committed to transforming outcomes for the children of East Harlem, a community with low college completion and high unemployment rates.
Every school year, a grade of students is added to the EHTP school system. Like many other schools in the community, EHTP struggles to fit all of these new students into the building safely and comfortably. We’re excited to be able to transform what was an underutilized space into a science and art hub. Volunteers will repaint the classroom, build and install furniture, organize closets, create art kits, and do other related activities to transform the school to more effectively support and meet students’ needs.
